Medical Billing & Coding Instructor Bios
Stephanie Gordon, MHA, HCS-D
I have been in the medical administration field for the past 13 years in various areas, primarily in medical billing and coding, but have been everything from a receptionist to an office manager. My specialties are in medical billing and collections and I have been a billing manager for the past 4-5 years. I have been teaching for the past two years at various schools in such subjects as medical insurance, medical billing and coding, electronic medical records and a few others. I earned my bachelor's degree from Spring Arbor University in Family Life Education in 2007. I earned my master's degree in Health Care Administration from Capella University in 2010. While I have been working full time in the medical field since right after high school, I have recently resigned from a full time position to pursue my own business in medical billing and consulting.
I am originally from Jacksonville, Florida and moved to Ohio in 1994. I lived in Toledo, Ohio until 2008 when I moved to the Columbus area. I currently live on a 10 acre farm outside of Marysville. I am married and have three children; a son who is 15 and daughters who are 12 and 9. I live a very busy life but in my free time I love to read and spend time doing projects around my home and yard.
