I've always known that I wanted to grow up and work in the medical field. When asked as a child, I never wanted to be a teacher or a firefighter, always a doctor or a nurse. My various healthcare experiences have led me to that today. I started working in a hospital at 18 years old doing billing, phlebotomy, EKGs, various medical procedures and more in the emergency room and laboratory. I worked with babies all the way to the dying elderly. I currently am employed as a nurse at an assisted living facility. I can't wait to get back to the ER, I miss the hectic atmosphere of it. After I get more nursing experience, I ultimately want to teach full time until retirement (which is a long way away!) I love teaching and tutoring, and I hope you can see my love for it when I teach you! It's very fulfilling to me when that "lightbulb" moment goes off in a person's head and they finally understand something. I pride myself in being approachable, laid-back and understanding, and I will always be that way with my students!
Currently, I live in Newark with my husband and our weiner dog, Charlie. We just bought our first house so when we aren't working at our jobs, we are working on the house. I like to spend time with my friends, shop (what girl doesn't?), decorate and relax. I am a big fan of "The Office" and criminal shows like Criminal Minds and Law and Order: SVU and I LOVE scary movies, even the cheesy ones =)
