What is a Paramedical Examiner Mobile Phlebotomist?
Many people are unfamiliar with the concept of a Paramedical Examination and the circumstances under which it occurs. These particular examinations are requisitioned primarily by insurance companies who need certain information from a potential life insurance client prior to authorizing coverage. Exams take place in the home or workplace of the client, requiring the Paramedical Examiner to travel to meet with these clients. At times, exams will also be performed at the office of a Paramedical Examining Agency. The diverse range of clientele and the ability to travel all over makes the Paramedical Examining field exciting!
Paramedical Examiners need to be skilled on many levels to obtain the information insurance companies require. The first step is to complete a Phlebotomy Technician class. Most often, insurance companies require that blood samples be taken for analysis. There may be other forms of specimen collection involved, including urine and saliva collection. This is why it is important for Paramedical Examiners to complete a Phlebotomy training program.
